Song of Enchantment

Song of Enchantment is an adaptation of the middle movement from the composer’s wind band work Winds of Enchantment (also published by Southern Music Company). Scored for flexible ensemble by Clarence Barber, playable on any SSATB combination of woodwind, brass, or string players with optional percussion. This arrangement incorporates new musical treatments of the movement while maintaining much of the original material. This song is lyrical involving moving lines and colorful consorts. Solos follow with an expressive drive to a climax with the full ensemble.
