Recorded by Count Basie on his Basie-Straight Ahead album, the “Moocho Fasto!” style marking at the start of this fast swing outing for proficient players sums it up pretty well. Improvised solos for piano, tenor sax and drums are highlights, along with the solid ensemble scoring that we’ve all come to expect from the pen of Sammy Nestico.
