One of the world’s exciting, young and creative composers, Nico Muhly has written a wonderful new choral piece that is perfect for a winter concert or any time. This work is a setting of Longfellow’s poem “Snow-Flakes.” While the music reflects the delicacy of winter weather, both text and music hint at the anxiety that can accompany and announce the brutality of the season.
